FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE STILL OWNS FACEposted by Your Hosts on 5/15/2012 0:46 | Category: Interviews
We snagged some time with Cristiano and Tommaso while they were on the All Shall Perish tour, to see how life has changed since their first time to the States about a year and a half ago. We also got some insight on reactions to Agony as well as what goes in to creating their set lists. They also talked about recruiting their keyboardist, how that's affected the live show, and what the future might have in store. And then Cristiano confirmed what Daigle has believed (despite mockery and taunting): that someone else in the metal world has got to be a Harry Potter fan too. Hey look at this! Back to normality! Cody's back as Matt, Jared, and Daigle talk about what songs are a perfect fit for Artax to die to. So yeah a cheerful episode :) Also, we
And of course the ever popular Shuffle Battle. If you'd like to play the home game, just get this clip going as soon as each song starts (mute the volume on the clip) and enjoy!
And be sure to check out "Obama's Elf" if you haven't already... Listen now or check/refresh your Zune or iTunes feeds. EXHUMED AT THE BLACK SHEEPposted by Your Hosts on 5/2/2012 23:11 | Category: Interviews
We stole some time from Matt and Wes of Exhumed before they tore Colorado Springs a new asshole to conduct what turned out to be one of the most fun interviews we've done to date. We started things off hearing about highlights from the tour thus far as well as what kinds of feedback they've been getting on "All Guts, No Glory" - this included the modest endorsement of, "Not that many people said that we were retarded [this time]" And then the greatest derailment of all time occurred when we found out that "Drunk military guy" trumps "Toothless aging crack whore". Somehow everything was brought back around with some philosophical talk about homeless people and cheese. When we finally got back on track, Matt and Wes divulged some details on what brought them out of hiatus, and challenges/advantages to the various line up changes they've had over the years. We also got some pretty interesting takes from them on our topic of top 10 blasphemous songs. CANNIBAL CORPSE AT THE BLACK SHEEPposted by Your Hosts on 4/30/2012 23:33 | Category: Interviews
We scored some time on the Cannibal bus to chat with Paul Mazurkiewicz about the Torture tour and recording process, what keeps Cannibal Corpse going, and non-metal favorites including a surprising guilty pleasure. Paul also gave some insight into their album covers over the years and what his views are on the current and future states of metal. We're slowly getting back to normality... Alloy Matt is back for our lists of top 10 blasphemous songs. Yeah it's an obvious topic - we had to get it out of the way though, right?!?! Guest host Bat-Matt also joins as we:
We also check out “Becoming the Beast” by Commotio Cordis and “Devil’s Night” by Fierce Allegiance Listen now or check/refresh your Zune or iTunes feeds. RHINOSPEAKposted by Your Hosts on 4/10/2012 0:49 | Category: Episodes
This one's a fuckin' riot! Matt and Cody were missing though... please report any sightings to www.nobodycaresaboutthosefuckersanyway.lol Jared goes over some new releases and we talk about upcoming shows including the 4/20 Cannibal Corpse show at The Black Sheep. By the way if Cannibal ain't your cup of tea, you should go to We Are All Destined To Fail's CD release show at Union Station instead. And then we embark on what's probably been the most fun we've had since starting this podcast: Top 10 songs that could have been playing during the rhino birth scene in Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. Do yourself a favor and watch this clip during the shuffle battle - it's the most fun you'll have all day.
We also spin "Throatless Sirens” by Beyond Terror Beyond Grace and “Odyssey” by Intandem Listen now or check/refresh your Zune or iTunes feeds. POLITICALSPEAKposted by Your Hosts on 3/26/2012 23:59 | Category: Episodes
Another episode now available for your listening pleasure! Matt and Cody were tied up and unavailable, so we convinced our buddy Matt of the non-Alloy variety that it would be fun to join us for our lists of top 10 politically subversive songs. Just a heads up, this list could easily double as "Top 10 songs to show Daigle's ignorance of lyrical content". Jared also goes through some new releases including several must-haves. And we close the show with "Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold" from Colorado Springs' We Are All Destined To Fail. By the way, be sure to keep your ears peeled for the reference to George Clinton's influence on German hockey in the 1940s. Listen now or check/refresh your Zune or iTunes feeds. |
